Losing face
This is an Asia cultural thing but really it should apply to logistics people everywhere. What do you do when you have a team member in Asia on a group phone call with your customer and he is making mistakes? It may surprise you to know you do nothing. You never make team members in Asia lose face in front of others. That is culturally unacceptable. You don’t make them look bad. You don’t focus on their mistakes. You don’t make fun of them. You don’t publicly correct them. Treat your team with respect alone and in front of others and they will do the same.
